Reading and interpreting statistics

Many papers use statistical analyses to support their arguments, but as these:

  • tend to be technical and filled with unfamiliar jargon
  • can be hard to follow
  • can make it difficult to critically assess the importance and strength of the findings

This workshop will therefore give participants a conceptual understanding of some common statistical ideas and terms so that they may be better able to understand, appreciate, and critique findings based on statistical analyses.

Workshop held in Building 21C - St Lucia Campus
