Organ and Chamber Music Recital

 

Free lunchtime Organ and Chamber Music Recital in the University Art Museum (the James and Mary Emelia Mayne Centre) on Tuesday 13th October 12.30pm-1.30pm.

The concert is designed to showcase the delights of the Baroque era with organ, instrumental and choral music.

The concert will feature:

Bach Violin Concerto in E Major

Bach Organ Prelude and Fugue in G Minor

Bach Anthem "Flocks in Pastures Green Abiding"

Tavers Trumpet Voluntary in C Major

Handel Aria "Where'er You Walk"

Handel Recorder Sonata No. 5 in Bb Major

Purcell Aria "If Love's A Sweet Passion"

Handel Organ Concerto No. 1 in G Minor

The Organ will be played by the Rev. Dr Howard Munro (Dean, St John's College), Miss Kerrie-Anne Looi and Miss Kathleen Lill. Instrumentalists will include the St John's College String Quartet and the anthems will be sung by the St John's College Choral Scholars.
