 Enrolment

5.1 Credit Requests

All requests for credits (or exemptions) toward your program on the basis of previous study should be lodged with the School’s Student Administration Unit (level 3 Therapies Building) prior to the commencement of the relevant semester.

Students offered a quota place in year 1 of the Bachelors programs will receive a credit request form with their letter of offer. Otherwise, the form may be obtained either from Forms on-line at myAdvisor, or, from our office.

All applications should be accompanied by –

  • an academic transcript showing successful completion of the course/s on which your request is based (UQ students may supply a ‘studies report’), and
  • detailed course outline/s (including assessment and a breakdown of lecture/prac topics) where necessary – in particular for non-UQ course/s, or for non-standard requests.

5.2 Enrolment Difficulties

The School’s enrolment officers may assist if you encounter difficulties –

  • Mrs Kathleen Page (Physiotherapy)
  • Ms Dianne Bates (Occupational Therapy, Audiology, Speech Pathology)
  • Ms Shirley Way

The University’s Student Centre (link to: http://www.uq.edu.au/student-centre/ )(ground floor, J.D. Story Building) may assist with –
forms, fees, exclusions, admission, official academic transcripts, traffic/parking, special examination arrangements etc.

5.3 Important Dates – Enrolment

  • the due date for payment of student services charge and/or tuition fees
  • the date by which one can withdraw from courses without incurring academic penalty and/or financial penalty

Please note that administrative fees are levied for –

  • late enrolment in courses on-line
  • late payment of fees (including student services charges)
  • adding or substituting course/s between weeks 3-5

No courses may be added (or substituted) after 31 March (semester 1) or 31 August (semester 2).

Financial liability remains for your enrolment if you drop course/s after 31 March (semester 1) or 31 August (semester 2).
Academic penalty (i.e. a fail grade) remains for your enrolment if you drop course/s after April 30 (semester 1) or September 30 (semester 2) without the Head of School’s approval.
