Soils and Land Resources is networked with approximately fifty modern PCs connected. Electronic mail, Internet access, printing, plotting, scanning, and CD writing are supported. All staff and postgraduate students have their own computer plus there is access to the large undergraduate computing laboratory located within the Hartley Teakle Building. Access to supercomputing and parallel computing is available. Computer hardware is continuously updated. Most software in use is provided through the University of Queensland licensing arrangements.
