About our Logo

The light bulb is our symbol for innovation and while it may look like your average incandescent light bulb (to be phased out in Australia by 2012) we challenge you to think again. General Electric (GE) has developed a new generation of light bulb called High Efficiency Incan descents. These light bulbs have been engineered to be up to 4 times as energy efficient as current light bulbs. This means they can be easily retrofitted to existing fittings. The other advantage over Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFL`s) is that they contain no environmentally harmful mercury. Click here for more information on HEs.

The joined hands represent our partnership with leading sustainably managed organisations. The tree represents sustainability. Sustainable resource taking is ever more crucial in a world where population is growing at a phenomenal rate and where natural resources are not. Forestry as certified by the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) represents one area where a positive environmental impact is being made. By choosing FSC certified timber we are choosing to preserve old growth forests and their unique habitat that support much of Earth's Biodiversity.
