Research Higher Degree Candidates
A research higher degree involves in-depth study and commitment to understand existing information or to develop new data or ideas. You can undertake a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) or a Doctor Philosophy (PhD) within the School of Journalism and Communication. These programs require you to think and investigate your chosen area in great depth. The processes and research you conduct will result in new knowledge you can contribute to this field of thought.
Prospective PhD students are strongly encouraged to read the information relating to either domestic applicants or international applicants carefully. The admissions process can involve a number of stages, so you are advised to apply well ahead of the time you hope to commence studies or in advance of the closing date for scholarships for which you are hoping to be considered.
