The Successes and Failures in Telehealth conference has become an annual event for everybody interested in telemedicine, telehealth and e-Health.  The seventh international conference will be held in August 2007.

The SFT series has successfully been built on a theme that had never been attempted.  The meeting provides a very open and frank forum for the presentation of both successful and not so successful telehealth inititatives.

Ever since the inaugural meeting in June 2001, the annual event has proven to be an overwhelming success, providing an excellent opportunity for others to learn from experts in the field.

The conference has two broad objectives.

1.      To identify successes, failures and challenges in the field of telehealth; and

2.      To develop an open forum for the presentation of real experiences in telehealth.

More than 650 delegates from all over the world have attended the previous seven meetings. Over 210 presentations have been delivered – both in person and by videoconference. Videoconference presentations have been made by guest speakers from the United States, the United Kingdom, Denmark, New Zealand, South Africa, Greece and Canada.

Tremendous interest has continued for the coordination of an annual meeting to address this ever expanding field.
