Information for International Baccalaureate students

UQ welcomes IB students studying in Queensland, interstate and from around the world. 

We recognise that the Interrnational Baccalaureate Diploma is a comprehensive and challenging program. Our experience is that IB diploma graduates are incredibly well prepared for university success. The program's international flavour, academic rigour and emphasis on inquiry based learning means that IB Diploma students enter university with a global outlook, an excellent work ethic and the critical thinking skills to ensure they achieve great results.
  
IB students may be offered credit for selected courses at UQ. In some cases, an exemption rather than credit will be offered. Depending on the structure of their degree program, the IB courses studied and the grade achieved, students may be awarded up to one semester (8 units) credit towards their degree.
