What is the Diploma in Global Issues?

  • A #16 unit undergraduate-level concurrent program taught by the University of Queensland in conjunction with the Universities of Melbourne, British Columbia (Canada), Nottingham (United Kingdom), Lund (Sweden), and Tecnologico de Monterrey (Mexico).
  • A program that considers the cultural, environmental, economic and political dimensions of globalisation so that students can understand the interconnectedness between individuals, societies, and countries.

To be eligible for the Diploma, you must:

  • Be enrolled in an undergraduate program at UQ;
  • Have completed #16 units of study;
  • Have a GPA of 5 or above;
  • Have at least #8 units remaining in your program.

    • Register your interest for the Global Issues Programme by clicking the 'Login' link on the left-hand side of the Webpage that displays. 
    • Complete the application form, which will be sent via email to your home university for assessment (Click on the 'apply' link in the top menu).

The Global Issues Programme is offered by the Universitas 21 network to students of the Universities of Queensland and Melbourne (Australia), British Columbia (Canada), Hong Kong (China), Nottingham (United Kingdom), Lund (Sweden) and Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico).

 Interested students are invited to attend an information session to find out more about the Diploma in Global Issues.  Sessions will be held at the times scheduled below.
