 Thesis Changes

Thesis Submission Procedure Change (as at 13 June 2008)

Prior to the submission of a thesis the following procedures need to be instigated:

Short Abstract

1.     Four weeks prior to submission a short abstract is required to be sent by the student to the Principal Advisor and the Postgraduate Administrator (Ms Gabrielle Pascoe).

    • This abstract advises the School that a thesis submission is imminent.
    • The abstract can also be used by the Principal Advisor to send to the potential assessors.

Assessor Details

2.      Assessor Details Form. The Principal Advisor should send this form, including the abstract, to potential assessors well in advance of submission to ensure that when the thesis is submitted it will be forwarded to the Assessors without delay.

    • Assessors are required to complete this form stating their details, appending an e-signature and returning to the Principal Advisor
    • Assessors now have the option of requesting either an electronic copy or a hardcopy of the thesis. .

Invitation to Assessors

3.      Invitation to Assessors: A guideline invitation email has been formulated by the theses office which Principal Advisors might like to use, adapting to suit, to include with the Assessors form and the abstract.

Submission and Nomination

4.      Submission and Nomination of Assessors Form.   To be completed by the Student and Principal Advisor.

5.   The Assessor Forms and the Submission and Nomination Form, when completed, should be sent by the Principal Advisor to:
