Biography

Doctoral program completed (1990) within the Department of Anatomical Sciences (UQ) on the neurophysiological correlates of movement inaccuracy.  Head of the Department of Biomedical Science and Assistant Dean (1997-2004) at the University of Wollongong with a focus on the development of the clinical Exercise Physiology professional both locally and nationally (through AAESS).  Vice-President of AAESS (Exercise Science) and Chair of Scientific Committee of the inaugural national AAESS Exercise and Sports Science conference (2004).  Sabbatical in Hamburg, Germany (2005).  Program Director (Bachelor of Health Sciences) (2007-2009) at the UQ Ipswich campus developing the BHlthSc/MBBS and co-initiating the undergraduate OH&S program within the Faculty of Health Sciences (UQ).  Transferred to the School of Biomedical Science (UQ) in 2009.

Research Interests

·         Non-invasive diagnosis of injury site in musculoskeletal rehabilitation
·        Segmental structure and function of human skeletal muscles
