The University of Queensland’s Anatomy Museum was established in 1996. This teaching and learning centre provides interactive and educational resources to students who wish to gain an understanding of the structure and function of the human body. The Museum houses a collection of plastinated human anatomical specimens as well as plastic models of body systems. Access is open to all students of anatomy undergraduate programs and medical postgraduate studies.
The School is committed to the education of the broader community. While the museum is restricted from general public viewing, educational visits from high school and college students are provided at a nominal fee. These visits are tailored accordingly to meet the needs of the group. They have been developed into modules to provide an insight into the major body systems in health and disease.
