Unique Research Opportunities in Biomedical Sciences

Our undergraduate subjects or courses in Biomedical Sciences are distinguished from other leading Universities across Australia and internationally by the unique opportunities for students to engage in cutting edge scientific research. From the very first year of their studies students are exposed to a research rich environment. Students can gain valuable experience by working in the laboratories of some of Australia’s leading biomedical scientists as part of their Bachelor program. In the final year students can undertake an “Honours” year where they are embedded in a lab and undertake a detailed research project. During this year students must design and execute a research project, write a thesis and then defend it publicly. This year is a milestone of the undergraduate program and is a significant experience highly cherished by our graduates.
