Launch of Advanced Surgical Anatomy Course, a postgraduate offering between UQ and the Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital, accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS).
The Advanced Surgical Anatomy Course (ASAC) will provide topographical training in anatomy with practical sessions on wet prosected specimens. Although the course is mainly intended for junior doctors preparing for Surgical Examination Training examinations, it is open to junior doctors from other specialties as well.
The course will be conducted by experienced Brisbane based senior practising surgeons, Fellows of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, (RACS).
The ASAC is an eleven module structure course to be held over 23 weeks at the University of Queensland’s St Lucia Campus. To enhance accessibility, each module session will be conducted twice; on a Saturday 0900hrs-1200hrs and on a Wednesday night 1800 hrs-2100 hrs.
The course is accredited and quality assured by the University Of Queensland’s School of Biomedical Sciences and will be conducted by experienced Brisbane based senior practising surgeons, Fellows of RACS. A Certificate of Attainment from the University of Queensland and Queensland Health, with RACS accreditation, will be awarded to successful candidates.
