UQ CAREERS FAIR (2012) - Highlights
The 2012 UQ Careers Fair was the largest university careers event in Queensland and it shares a national first place with Monash University (acknowledged by the Australia Association of Graduate Employers).
The event held on Wednesday 14th March 2012, saw approximately 5,112 students and 144 exhibitors attend the UQ Careers Fair. This year was the fifth consecutive year that UQ Careers and Graduate Employment produced the event.
Preliminary comments from both students and employers who attended the event were extremely positive and it is seen that the Careers Fair will remain a significant event on the UQ calendar. Some wonderful feedback included:
Congratulations to you and your team on an outstanding Career Fair. Comments from our representatives were extremely positive; from the caliber of student enquiries through to your volunteer assistants on the day. A successful day all-round; so please pass on our feedback.
Heather B. Newmont Mining Corporation
I would like to express a big gigantic thank you to all the volunteers on the Careers Fair day. I felt like I was treated like royalty. Everyone did an amazing job and we will definitely be coming back to do it again. Thank you again.
