BECOME AN eMENTOR
The University of Queensland, as a corporate partner of The Smith Family, invites you to be part of the 2011 iTrack Mentoring Program, an online mentoring program offered by The Smith Family to senior high school students from low SES backgrounds. The program aims to support and inform students who are beginning to formulate their post school plans by pairing them with active members of the workforce who can encourage them, offer advice and share the benefit of their experiences.
The majority of interaction takes place on-line through specifically designated chat rooms and message boards. eMentors receive full training and support from The Smith Family and should be prepared to commit at least 70 minutes a week to working online during class hours with their designated student. The program runs between April and September. Your participation in this valuable and worthwhile program will be much appreciated by both The Smith Family and the student/s you work with!
If you would like to volunteer your services for the iTrack program, or want more information please contact Adriana Jumelet, Manager, Scholarships and Student Equity on ext 57114 or email a.jumelet@uq.edu.au. Applications close 11 February 2011.
