 SASD Number 22 - December 2010

SPECIAL AND SUPPLEMENTARY GRADE RESULTS

Special and Supplementary examinations will be conducted from Wednesday 15 December to Friday 17 December 2010.  All staff are reminded that there are no provisions for students to undertake examinations earlier than the scheduled date.  In accordance with HUPP 3.30.1 (6.2: Supplementary and special examination results), results must be finalised within seven (7) days of the examination date.   Please note:  An extension has been granted for submission of results to Wednesday, 5 January 2011, due to the 7-day timeline following examinations coinciding with Christmas Eve.

It is recommended that course coordinators or their nominees collect exam scripts from the exam venue on conclusion of the exam.  Staff ID and/or a letter of authorisation to collect the papers will need to be provided to the exam supervisor.  Papers not collected from St Lucia exam venues will be delivered to the Schools within 48 hours of the exam. At this time of year, there are a significant number of students sitting their special/supp exam off-campus, either in Australia or overseas.  As a result, there may be some exam scripts returned to Schools at a later date.

ECPS AND SUMMER SEMESTER EXAMINATIONS

School academic and professional staff are reminded that details for both central and school-based end of Summer Semester 2010/11 examinations must be entered into the Assessment section of the Summer Semester 2010/11 electronic course profile (ECP), as ‘end-of-semester’ exams.  Schools are asked to check the data before finalisation and publication of the course profile/s to ensure details are entered appropriately and correctly.

The Schedule of Central and School Examinations Report is available via the new MIS Reportal (Standard Reports > Student > Admin > Examinations) at http://mis-xi-web.mis.admin.uq.edu.au/InfoViewApp/logon.jsp   Examinations Section will download the ECPS data on Monday 10 January 2011.  Reference should be made to the email distributed to Schools on 30 November 2010 which set out guidelines for entry of the data into the ECPS, and the processes and timelines for the summer semester exam schedules.
