The Research Grants Unit (RGU) of The University of Queensland consists of a team of Research Administration Officers (RAOs) who are each responsible for a discrete area of the University's research activities.  RAOs generally handle the administration of funding for one or more Faculties and/or Institutes.  In addition RGU has two specialist RAOs; one is responsible for externally awarded fellowships (particularly ARC and NHMRC) and  the other is responsible for administering CRC project funding. 

The Research Grants Unit is also responsible for the administration of a number of The University of Queensland's internally funded research grant schemes.  These schemes are handled by a team of Administration Officers (Grants) (AOGs) under the direction of the Coordinator, Research Grants Unit.
