This scheme is currently under review, there may be some changes to the original format prior to the scheme opening in August 2013.
The University of Queensland provides funds annually to enable distinguished overseas researchers to travel to this university to collaborate with colleagues (Category 1) and University of Queensland staff to travel overseas to conduct international collaborative research (Category 2).
Travel assistance is available to scholars actively engaged in research who will contribute substantially to research activity in the nominated School, Centre or Institute at The University of Queensland.
Update to Investigator Eligibility Criteria
Please note that the scheme Guidelines have been updated, effective from 23 August 2012, to include salaried Clinical Academic staff as eligible applicants following approval by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research).
Applications must be submitted to the proposed host School/Centre/Institute by 27 August 2012.

Following completion of the travel, and by 31 March in the year following the award, the recipient is required to submit a final report on the outcomes of the project. The report must be completed using the UQ Travel Awards report proforma.
