The University of Queensland invites applications for a limited number of UQ Advancing Women Researchers Grants commencing in 2015. The UQ Advancing Women Researchers Grants scheme aims to assist eligible women who have primary carer responsibilities to present their research at a national and/or international conference or workshop. Funding may be used towards extraordinary carer costs associated with conference or workshop participation by the applicant, and, where applicable, return economy travel and per diems.

The following are the key dates for the UQ Advancing Women Researchers Grants Round 2 for funding commencing in 2015:

The UQ Advancing Women Researchers Grant Scheme Round 2 opens:  17 September 2015
Full applications to Schools/Centres/Institutes:  5.00pm 26 October 2015

  • Step 1: Join the UQR&I Mailing List. Official announcements and UQR&I updates regarding the scheme will be sent via the Mailing List.   
  • Step 2: Familiarise yourself with the key UQ documentation (see below).
  • Step 3: After familiarising yourself with the eligibility and selection criteria, download and complete the UQ Advancing Women Researchers Grant Application Form.  Please ensure that your application is submitted on the current round's Application Form as proposals submitted on older forms will not be considered.
  • Step 4: Submit your completed and signed Application Form to School/Centre/Institute by the scheme closing date.  Refer to the scheme Guidelines for details on the mode of submission (hardcopy or electronic).
