The University of Queensland offers a number of internal grant schemes to foster early career researchers, seed research initiatives, promote linkages and partnerships, and support collaborative infrastructure. This core suite of internal grants is available to existing eligible staff, while postdoctoral fellowships are also available to prospective staff.

The University also participates in a number of joint funding initiatives with other Australian and international universities and other organisations.
