AIBN’s world-class research facilities are set to improve with a further $18.5 million investment.

AIBN researchers are attracting major funding from national and international sources, including strong support from industry. They are being joined by a growing group of highly-regarded senior researchers.

The Institute is further expanding its major infrastructure in areas such as:

  • micro/nano-fabrication capabilities for soft lithography for semiconductor, diagnostic devices, microbioreactors and micro/nano-needle drug delivery patch prototyping;
  • high performance computing capabilities to simulate and visualise molecular systems;
  • advanced microscopy and microanalysis; and
  • extended protein expression, purification and characterisation capabilities for recombinant proteins.

AIBN has the capability to work for or with industry and can undertake research and development with flexible arrangements to meet the needs of partners.
