UQ Foundation Research Excellence Awards and the official opening of the UQ Centre
The new UQ Centre will be officially opened at a function on the evening of Thursday, September 26. This will be followed by the presentation of the UQ Foundation Research Excellence Awards by Queensland Premier Peter Beattie.
The UQ Centre is a major new multipurpose indoor centre on The University of Queensland?s St Lucia campus. It is designed as a premier venue for graduation ceremonies, exhibitions, conferences, cultural and sporting events and can hold up to 2500 people.
The UQ Foundation Research Excellence Awards recognise outstanding performance and leadership potential among the University?s early career researchers. The awards are a joint initiative of The University of Queensland Foundation Limited and the Office of the Vice-Chancellor.
Attendance is by invitation.
