UQ Forum: Academic-Industry Engagement in Health and Social Sciences
The DVCR, Professor Max Lu, invites members of the UQ Research Community to an Academic-Industry Engagement Forum in Health and Social Sciences. The details of the Forum are as follows:

The Forum will be of particular benefit to UQ Researchers, including Early Career Researchers, who wish to improve their understanding of effective industry engagement. Its objective is to contribute to capacity building in industry engagement and to expand awareness of UQ's capacities for the industry partners.
The Forum will be opened by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Peter Høj. Speakers at the Forum will include senior researchers, industry partners and people who have comprehensive experience of the interface between industry and academia.

- Professor Maree Smith, Executive Director, TetraQ
- Dr Stuart Hazell, Commercialisation Australia
- Mr Alexander Gosling, Partner, Capstone Partners
- Mr David Barbagallo, CEO, Endeavour Foundation
- Professor David Brereton, Deputy Director - Research Integration, Sustainable Minerals Institute
- Dr Andrew Sneddon, UQ Culture and Heritage Unit
- Dr Kate Sofronoff, School of Psychology
The Forum will also serve as a networking opportunity for representatives from academia, government, and industry to strengthen business and research relationships.
