The 2003 UQ Foundation Research Excellence Awards recognise outstanding performance and leadership potential among UQ's early career researchers. The awards program is now in its fifth year and was the first of its kind in Australia. In 2002 seven researchers were honoured with awards totalling almost $500 000.
