Osteology Foundation funds research into all aspects of oral tissue regeneration. Clinician and basic scientists can apply twice a year for research grants. The Osteology Foundation offers Advanced Research Grants and Young Researcher Grants.

The Research topics falling within the scope of Osteology Foundation are:
• Hard and soft tissue biology: clinical aspects
• Novel bone and soft tissue substitute materials
• Local factors affecting oral tissue regeneration
• Systemic diseases with an impact on oral tissue regeneration
• Pharmacological aspects of oral tissue regeneration
• Inflammatory conditions, for example periodontitis or peri-implantitis

Overview

Aims
The Osteology Foundation aims to support scientific research and education projects in the field of oral tissue regeneration. To actively promote clinical and translational research the Osteology Foundation awards grants to selected researchers twice a year.

Eligibility
Advanced Researcher Grants
• Advanced researchers in the field of oral tissue regeneration.

Young Researcher Grants
• Young researchers currently undergoing post-graduate education or within three years thereafter.

Funding
The duration of the Advanced Researcher Grants is 2 years, with funding of 100,000 Swiss francs
The duration of the Young Researcher Grants is 1 year, with funding of 30,000 Swiss francs

Eligible Expenses
Eligible expenses include:
• Direct research costs
• Support staff salary
• Equipment
• Supplies and Materials
• Travel expenses
• Clinical studies and Preclinical studies cost

Overheads
The maximum rate of overheads allowed by Osteology Foundation for this scheme is 10%.

Applicants are required to upload a recommendation and motivation letter in the online application. Both letters needs to be in PDF format and must not exceed a maximum length of one A4 page. Please note the word limit for each section of the online form.

For UQ R&I internal review and feedback, email your application and completed Funding Application Coversheet to your UQ R&I Office of Sponsored Research RAO.
