Overview

• Aims
Choice for older Australians in consumer markets:
• The goal of this project is to build an independent, statistically significant evidence-based assessment of the barriers and challenges for older Australians in exercising choice. The project could be across several markets or focused on one single market.
• The CPRC is dedicating a research grant for a field experiment from a consortium of researchers exploring the lived experience of older Australian consumers in exercising choice in product and service markets.

Information disclosure in the housing market:
• To undertake an analysis of regulatory and legal frameworks locally and internationally when it comes to information disclosure in the housing market.
• The research project may explore a compare and contrast of legal and policy frameworks, what information consumers want and need when it comes to housing options, or how the presentation of this information may influence choice and decision-making in the housing market.

• Eligibility
Expressions of Interest will be reviewed by CPRC staff & Board against the below selection criteria:
• The value and relevance of the project in building greater understanding of consumer data issues in Australia, especially how this may influence consumer outcomes and implications for policy reform.
• How the project builds on existing research and generates new knowledge.
• Achievability of the project with proposed budget and timelines.
• Qualification of the research team.

• Funding
