The Australian Biological Resources Study (ABRS) Research Grants stream provides support to Postdoctoral Fellows and established career researchers to undertake research relevant to the taxonomy and systematics of the Australian biota. Key Dates Applications due to UQR&I: 15 November 2018 Applications close with the Australian Biological Resources Study: 29 November 2018 at 2.00pm (AEDT) Overview • Aims • Grants are awarded for research projects where the primary aim is to undertake taxonomic or systematics research on the Australian biota. • The program also supports projects that build Australian taxonomic capacity. • Eligibility Projects must be for the public good in focus and support one or more of the following areas: • Biodiversity, Conservation and Vulnerable and Endangered Species • Public, Plant and Animal Health • Building Taxonomic Capacity Please click on the following link for further information about how to apply, eligibility criteria, and program rules: http://www.environment.gov.au/node/13649 • Funding • Estimated grant values are from $5,000 to $217,000, with total available funding of $415,000. • All research grant applicants are expected to provide a co-funding contribution worth at least 50 per cent of the grant funding being provided by the ABRS.
