The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) International Fellowship Program supports outstanding Australian scientists/clinicians to strengthen their research experience by working in internationally renowned breast cancer research centres outside of Australia.

Aim: Together with leading international research institutions, NBCF has established the International Fellowship Program to support outstanding Australian clinicians to strengthen their clinical and research experience and/or give those without a demonstrated track record in research the exposure to training and career development opportunities by working in internationally renowned breast cancer research centres outside of Australia. Successful Fellows will be expected to run a strong research project targeting the improvement of outcomes for women and families with breast cancer.

Eligibility
• Candidates must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident.
• Candidates must have a doctoral degree (PhD and/or MD) and a proven track record of engagement in breast cancer through clinical practice and/or research.
• Candidates must be based in Australia at the time of application.

Funding
The duration of the Fellowship is either one or two years, with total funding of $100,000 (may be complemented with matched funding from the host institution). Fellowships may commence at any time between 1 January 2019 and 1 January 2020.
