Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) Travel Grants are intended to support short periods of research or study. They may be used to cover travelling or re-establishment costs for those taking up a postdoctoral fellowship overseas, or fees for further education. There are currently six (6) Travel Grant schemes on offer.

1. AFRM Bruce Ford Travel Fellowship: To assist AFRM Fellows and trainees who wish to undertake formal research training by taking up an overseas research position. The position which would provide training in research methodology should be part of a formal course of study leading to a postgraduate qualification (Masters, PhD, or equivalent research higher degree). Funding may be used for stipend support or travel support.
Eligibility: Australian and New Zealand Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFRM) Fellows or trainees.

2. AFOEM Registrar Travelling Fellowship: To provide the opportunity for an AFOEM Registrar to undertake an occupational or environmental medicine (OEM) project by studying an aspect of OEM overseas. The Fellowship encourages both education and research, but does not require the trainee to establish a research project uniquely for the award. The Fellowship may be used to fund:
•Travel to appropriate centres overseas; and/or
•for gaining new expertise in a field relevant to OEM; and/or
•for training at an appropriate institution; and/or
•an OEM attachment; and/or
•such other use as the AFOEM Review Panel shall allow within the spirit of the Fellowship.
Eligibility: Australian and New Zealand registrars of Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (AFOEM).

3. Bushell Travelling Fellowship in Medicine or the Allied Sciences: To further research overseas. Funds to be used for research support or stipend.
Eligibility: Australian and New Zealand Fellows or trainees of the RACP, its Divisions, Faculties and Chapters enrolled in a research higher degree or within two years of completion of a research higher degree.

4. Margorie Hooper Scholarship: To facilitate postgraduate study outside South Australia and to undertake further training in their field of medicine or to provide stipend or project support.
Eligibility: Australian and New Zealand Fellows and trainees of the RACP, its Divisions, Faculties and Chapters, currently resident in South Australia.

5. Richard Kemp Memorial Fellowship: To provide support for trainees in pursuit of clinical training in Infectious Diseases and/or HIV Medicine. The Fellowship may be used to fund:
a. attendance at a clinical meeting; and/or
b. for travel to appropriate centres within Australia and overseas; and/or
c. for a clinical attachment; and/or
d. such other use as the Selection Committee shall allow within the spirit of the Fellowship, namely for the support of clinical training.
Eligibility: Australian and New Zealand trainees of the RACP, its Divisions, Faculties and Chapters, and members of ASHM or ASID, or Trainees in other recognised programs offering a postgraduate qualification in the areas of Infectious Diseases or HIV Medicine.E
6. Robert and Elizabeth Albert Travel Grant: To provide support for the purposes of furthering international collaboration in research. Funds to be used to allow travel to appropriate centres overseas.
Eligibility: Fellows and trainees of the RACP, its Divisions, Faculties and Chapters who are within seven years of having completed their research higher degree.

Funding
1. The AFRM Bruce Ford Travel Fellowship is to provide funding up to $10,000, which may be used for stipend support or travel support.
2. The AFOEM Registrar Travelling Fellowship will provide funding up to $10,000.
3. The duration of the Bushell Travelling Fellowship in Medicine or the Allied Sciences is 1 year, with funding up to $30,000.
4. The Margorie Hooper Scholarship is to provide a stipend or project support, with funding up to $10,000.
5. The Richard Kemp Memorial Fellowship is to provide support for trainees, with funding up to $5,000.
6. The Robert and Elizabeth Albert Travel Grant is to provide travel support, with funding up to $10,000.
