2019 Heart Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowships

Applications for the Heart Foundation’s Postdoctoral Fellowships are now open. Available to PhD graduates in the first three years after obtaining a PhD, the Postdoctoral Fellowship scheme encourages and supports early-career cardiovascular health researchers to develop research skills and independence. The Heart Foundation supports research into the causes, treatment and prevention of heart, stroke and blood vessel disease. Eligibility:
• Applicants must be in their first three years post awarding of their PhD on the application closing date.
• Applicants must be involved in any area of cardiovascular health research including biomedical, clinical, public health and health service delivery.
• At the time of application, applicants (Chief Investigator only) must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, an Australian permanent resident or must have applied to become an Australian permanent resident. Evidence that Australian permanent residency has been granted will be required before an award can commence. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of the award.

Funding Details: The Postdoctoral Fellowship offers a stipend of $75,000 pro rata per year for a duration of 2 years.
