Train The Trainer
QADREC provides a range of training opportunities that target both specialist alcohol and drug workers and the broader health, social care and criminal justice workforces. They are provided to improve the knowledge, skills, and expertise of workers with recent updates in the industry. Besides regular training sessions (such as QADREC Seminar Series), two major training programs are held yearly - the Opioid Treatment Prescribers Training Program, and the Queensland Needle and Syringe Program - Train the Trainer (QNSP). These programs are the most current training programs held in 2007. Another initative established in 2006 is the Certificate III Community Services Work (Alcohol & Other Drugs).
