myApps
UQAPS applications have recently been made available in the Staff Portal in a module called myApps. If you are already a UQAPS user you can gain access to your UQAPS applications from the portal using the steps below. If you don't already have access to UQAPS and are interested, contact ITS account management on 54292:
  • Sign into the portal at http://my.uq.edu.au/

  • Once inside, click on the "Personalise" tab

  • Click on the "myApps" link

  • Next to "Set on/off:" click the "On" check box.

  • Click the "Save Preferences" button. It should return with "Success: Your preferences have been saved."

  • Click on the "myPage" tab. The myApps application should be displayed. You may have to scroll down to see it.

  • You can change the ordering of the myApps module in the personalise area. Personalise -> myLook -> myOrdering

Note:
To avoid one of the pop-up warning boxes you might also like to install the UQ Certificate Authority. You can do this from the myApps module by clicking on the "Click here to install SSL certificate" link.

If your normal method of access will be from a machine with the full Citrix software client installed, it would be advisable to click on the "Click here to change to full Citrix client" link from within the myApps module. Note that you can easily change this setting later, to be able to access myApps from a different machine that does not have the full client. If you can only see a link called "Click here to change to embedded java client" you must be on the full Citrix client already.

If you have problems with the above process please contact your desktop support person, or ring Helpdesk on 56000.
