Magnetic resonance spectroscopy and imaging and materials science are two of core strengths of the Polymer Chemistry Group, and serves to bring together our activities in the Centre for Advanced Imaging and in the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology.

Within NMR the group is interested in 1) materials characterisation using solids NMR and 2) transport properties in media using NMR imaging and PGSE NMR. We also have expertise in high pressure NMR in supercritical carbon dioxide.

We also have a program of research in dynamic nuclear polarisation in collaboration with the CAI and MPIP, Mainz. In the field of materials science we have numerous programs in novel synthesis methods and functional nanoparticles.
