 Biofuels and other Bioproducts

The large diversity of plant species is a massive untapped resource that has the potential to benefit mankind in many ways. New pharmaceuticals are being developed based on compounds discovered in plants. Similarly, research is currently underway at UQ to generate new energy sources using plants that will help power the world into the future without relying on our dwindling oil supplies.
