Transforming Lives Through Research

Researchers at the School of Pharmacy are leaders in the research themes of; modelling and simulation, pharmacy education, quality use of medicines and therapeutic targeting.
The recent breakthrough by Professor Sarah Roberts-Thomson and Associate Professor Greg Monteith identified and characterised a potential new drug therapy target for breast cancers. The work took six years.
With your financial support, important research such as this can be accelerated.
A/Prof Monteith said, “Philanthropic support provides the opportunity for researchers to conduct early stage, or high risk/high gain research.”
“For example, we’d seek to identify the next generation of drug targets for breast cancer patients with the worst prognosis.”
