 Postgraduate Honours


Postgraduate Honours will provide an opportunity to engage in a career in research, will enable you to proceed to a PhD, enhance your opportunities to gain scholarships and will broaden your appeal to employers seeking staff with a research background. 

The Honours program involves a research project on an approved topic and production of a thesis, usually in the form of a journal article. Supervision of the work and training in research skills and methodologies is provided by pharmacists and other academics experienced in research.

Postgraduate Honours is a 1-year program involving some coursework and a research project.

  • Application for enrolment in the Postgraduate Honours program is made to the School of Pharmacy
  • Application should be made in discussion with the potential research supervisor – see the available projects page for research areas that may be available
  • Admission is assessed on completion of a Bachelor degree, GPA and availability of supervisors
  • Students will be enrolled in the Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) program
