Welcome to PEPS

The Professional Engineering Placement Scholarship (PEPS) is a work-based learning programme that allows final-year UQ engineering students to spend up to six months in industry while still gaining full academic credit.

A similar program PIPS (Professional Information Technology Placement Scholarship) allows final year information technology students the chance to work in the IT industry.

Students apply for a place in a PEPS or PIPS program at specific companies during their penultimate year. If successful, they will start by doing vacation work and then complete a project proposed by the placement organisation.
