The University of Queensland acknowledges that a range of people require special consideration when they need to access its various campuses and sites. Accordingly, particular parking bays have been set aside that may not be used by other campus-users under any circumstances.

Disabled parking areas are indicated on the campus parking maps by the internationally recognised disabled logo:

Please select one of the following links for a map of the campus in which you are interested: [1] St Lucia or [2] UQ Ipswich

UQ Ipswich bus services are normally provided using accessible low floor buses. However, while many of the buses to UQ St Lucia are low floor accessible, there are no scheduled accessible bus routes so it is necessary to contact the Brisbane City Council (BCC) on 07 3403 8888, to make arrangements at least 24-hours in advance.

The City Cat ferries are accessible but under certain conditions (eg, low tide) the ramps at the terminals can be steep. Also, care should be taken while the City Cats are moving, as they are fast and remain horizontal while cornering.

Most train stations are increasingly accessible but check with Citytrain for any special needs, and with the Guard on the train if you need any assistance.

Taxis that are suitable for people with special needs can be arranged, but it is important to telephone in advance to avoid possible delays in service.
