Here are a few pictures from our recent field trip to the Cocos (Keeling) Islands.
A bit about the Cocos Is.
The Cocos Islands are a series of small islands that are part of a coral atoll located off the northern coast of Western Australia, approximately 2300km from Perth and Darwin.
Local population is about 650 people of whom about 130 live on West Island and the remainder on Home Island.
The Home Island population is predominantly of Malay origin, while the West Island population is predominantly of western origin.
