The Vice Chancellor welcomes you to UQ.
Orientation Week is designed to assist new students to settle into University life at UQ. During this time, various activities will be held to help you settle into university smoothly. You have the opportunity to meet other students and staff, become familiar with your campus and receive more information about your study program. Orientation is compulsory for all new students and it is important to make the most out of it and have a great time.
Market Day is a popular occasion where you can sign up to join any of the Student Clubs and Societies and enjoy some free entertainment.
The Orientation Planner and Guide contain details on all events being held including times and location. Some events are compulsory so identify these and other sessions that relate to your studies. Also, take time to attend events that can assist you with other services and facilities.
As well as during Orientation Week, there are a number of services available all year round to help you settle in University life at UQ. The New to UQ website is a great place to start.
