The UQ Image Library is a repository of over 80,000 images of which the majority are available (on request) to UQ staff for the purpose of promoting the University and its activities. The images are relevant and current, depicting the University’s campuses, facilities, events and activities as well as the University’s Senior Executive.

Governance and terms of use
The Governance of UQ Images has been developed by the Office of Marketing and Communications and provides guidance on OMC’s requirements in capturing and storing valuable still and video photography. The threefold aim is to:

  • Promote and protect the reputation of the University of Queensland
  • Provide a stock of quality fresh images, and
  • Reduce the volume and cost of stored images and videos
