Research Week insight

With Research Week almost wrapping up, we would like to take the opportunity to recap on some of the work involved in promoting this year’s celebrations.

Along with support from staff across the University, OMC coordinated a range of marketing and communications activities – from producing the eight Research Week award winner videos and the Discovery@UQ report, writing media releases, coordinating the key corporate events, updating the website, producing a UQ News TV episode and overseeing the overall marketing strategy.

We acknowledge all the work put in by many other members of the Network to the success of the week, such as the Graduate School and Office of Undergraduate Education with their enjoyable “Great Debate” held last night at St Lucia campus.

Try and tell a narrative. The songs should be like a little film, told in three or four minutes. Try to say things as simply as possible, which is probably the most difficult thing to do. - Hal David, lyricist (25 May 1921- 1 September 2012)
