IMB tour provides valuable insights

Staff from OMC recently enjoyed a tour through IMB's research facilities.

Taken by Director Professor Brandon Wainwright, the tour included an engaging presentation by Deputy Director, Advancement Amanda Whelan and Communications Officer, Bronwyn Adams.

Those in attendance gained valuable insights into the Institute's advancement and communications strategies.

The team at IMB are happy for other colleagues within the Network to experience this tour as well.

Please contact June Cullen on ext 62132 or email advancement@imb.uq.edu.au if you are interested.

CRM update from OMC Comms team

OMC’s Communications team is preparing to implement a CRM system, RightNow, to track media releases from submission to distribution and manage media release workflow.

A media release submission form is being developed to enhance the editing and approval process. This new system is still in the early stages of development, and further updates on the form will follow over coming weeks.

In the meantime, please continue to email communications@uq.edu.au to submit a media release or for any questions about the new system.

Help bring the UQ Advantage to life on Facebook

The UQ Facebook page has become an important communication channel for prospective and current students. Over the past couple of years, we have built a strong following of over 25,000 fans and used the page to support our advertising campaigns and share important news stories…but we want to do more!

We would like to work closely with other areas of the University to provide an interesting mix of content that brings the UQ Advantage to life. If you have any research, learning or engagement stories that you would like to share, please complete our online submission form or contact us to discuss your ideas. The form also provides some general content guidelines.

We will also be working to increase our current and prospective student following on Facebook and any help promoting the page to your audiences is appreciated.

Please contact the OMC Marketing team by email or ext 67685 if you have any questions or would like more information on Facebook.
