Transferring Marketing & Communications Knowledge

The popular ABC-TV series on advertising, The Gruen Transfer, has provided the inspiration for a session at UQ’s first Marketing and Communications Conference on November 23rd. The conference will explore trends in higher education advertising and competitor positioning. 

     

Global Challenges Leadership Series

The Global Challenges Leadership Series is an engagement opportunity for alumni and UQ partners to join the University and its great minds in an open dialogue on solutions to global issues. The series aims to position the University as an internationally engaged research institution with commitment to finding innovative solutions to gobal issues.

Specialist advertising

Through the UQ Advertising Office, OMC designs, manages and books all specialist advertising for the University including helping to promote programs and courses for faculties and schools, staff recruitment and requests for clinical trial research participants. The UQ Advertising website provides essential information on specialist advertising, including cost calculators, sample ads, media kits from various publications and procedures for making bookings. UQ Advertising also manages advertising bookings for UQ News and Graduate Contact. If you have any further questions, email advertising@uq.edu.au.

 

Research Week launched

Research Week engages industry, staff, students and government as well as showcasing the quality of UQ research. The week included the announcement of the UQ Foundation Research Excellence Awards 2011, the Three Minute Thesis Competition and the official launch of the UQ Career Advantage Model. Discovery@UQ was also published. The development of a new UQ Career Advantage digital microsite and the filming and editing of 14 x 60 second award winner videos were significant projects undertaken by OMC as part of its commitment to Research Week.
