Gaining media coverage with Futurity
OMC has recently subscribed to Futurity, a research news website featuring articles from top universities in Australia, the US, UK and Canada. Stories focus on Earth & Environment, Health & Medicine, Science & Technology and Society & Culture Fields. UQ's Faculty of Health Sciences has so far had four stories feature on the site.

Update from Protocol
OMC’s Protocol team provide professional support and advice on planning and managing key events and visits for the University. Two recent high-profile events Protocol coordinated include the UQ Forum – Sustaining Prosperity: Partnerships for a knowledge-based future, and the $US10 million UQ and Dow Chemical Company partnership announcement. In addition to organising event logistics and arrangements for VIPs, Protocol works with various UQ departments including the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, the UQ Senior Executive and the UQ Advancement Office.

UQ Advantage Award launches
The Office of Undergraduate Education (OUE) will launch the UQ Advantage Award in Semester Two. The program provides undergraduate students with opportunities to benefit from all UQ has to offer, receive recognition from various activities and enhance their employability. Over the coming months OUE will be updating the microsite, providing promotional cards and screensavers, holding information sessions and updating the M&C network via comnet.
