We build relationships with members of the mainstream and digital media so that media cover UQ activities frequently and positively, helping to position the UQ brand. Activities include:

  • producing a print and online guide to the University’s academic expertise (UQ Experts)
  • coordinating responses to media enquiries
  • preparing media briefings, itineraries, and media conferences
  • liaising with commercial groups to coordinate filming at UQ locations
  • producing print and multimedia materials for incorporation in media stories
  • researching, writing and distributing media releases ensuring the inclusion of UQ key messages
  • managing media monitoring including analysis of media profile over time
  • issues management (providing advice and actions to avoid potentially negative media cover or to counteract negative cover).
