Marketing
The Marketing team oversees the University's corporate marketing strategy and develop an annual integrated marketing plan for the University in line with the Strategic Plan and priorities. We also provide advice and support to University units and facilitate University-wide marketing activities and projects.
Corporate advertising
We are responsible for planning, developing and executing corporate advertising for UQ. Our corporate advertising aims to develop and enhance the awareness, image and reputation of UQ among our key target markets.

Key student recruitment events
We manage key student recruitment events including UQ Open Day, Postgraduate Advice Night and UQ Options Evening. Each event is promoted through a targeted advertising campaign.
UQ Open Day
UQ’s largest event of the year, UQ Open Day provides attendees with the opportunity to discover everything UQ has to offer. By meeting with UQ staff, attending presentations on study areas and careers, touring the campuses, and taking part in a range of fun activities; communities can find out what going to university at UQ is all about. OMC manages UQ St Lucia Open Day and provides support to staff at UQ's Ipswich and Gatton campuses.
Postgraduate Advice Night
The annual UQ Postgraduate Advice Night gives prospective and current students the opportunity to have their coursework and research questions answered. By attending academic information seminars, visiting the Faculty exhibition displays or by taking a campus tour; attendees can discover how UQ’s world-class qualifications can help them advance their career.
UQ Options Evening
UQ Options Evening is held in December each year after OP results have been released. The event provides an opportunity for students to learn how to make the most of their OP result. Students, lecturers and admissions staff are available to provide advice on programs, the QTAC process and guide students through available entry pathways.
Specialist advertising
We manage provide a comprehensive advertising service to all UQ units assisting to place specialist and recruitment advertising.
The UQ Advertising Office designs, manages and books all specialist advertising for the University helping to promote programs and courses for faculties and schools, staff recruitment and requests for clinical trial research participants.
