The Communications division within the Office of Marketing and Communications (OMC) can assist with story ideas and arrangements for print, electronic and online media; produces a wide range of both printed and online publications; and helps organise and promote UQ's major corporate projects and events throughout the year.
Services and activities of particular interest to media representatives include:
- Media releases, available via email or the Web-based UQ News Online;
- The searchable database UQ Images;
- Expert comment from academic and teaching staff and first point-of-contact for interviews with members of the University Executive;
- Publications, including UQ News (a monthly magazine distributed during semester); Graduate Contact (a biannual magazine for University alumni); the Research Report (an annual magazine featuring research highlights and achievements); and the Annual Report (an overview of the University's operations throughout the year including developments in research, teaching and learning, management and resources, and community partnerships);
- News filming/maps/media parking;
- UQ film locations; and
- Upcoming events, including media conferences, and showcase weeks such as UQ Research Week.
