Previously know as Media Awareness training, this session introduces senior UQ academics, professional staff and PhD students to the media. It explains how the media operates, what journalists expect and how the University can develop good relationships with the media in order to promote research and enhance our reputation. It provides participants with the opportunity to practice skills necessary for media interviews.

This course will enable participants to:

  1. Understand how the media operates
  2. Frame their communications and message to maximise positive interactions with the media.
